Top tip’s on organizing your Hen Party from the UK’s number 1 Hen Party Organizers Hen Heaven

Being made a chief bridesmaid is a great honour, however that with honour comes the burden of organizing a hen do for the bride-to-be and all her hen friends, which can actually be quite daunting (especially if you’re not married or have ever been a chief bridesmaid before!) There several things you have to think about: – How many hens will be going? Are you having a Brighton hen do? Or a Barcelona hen do? What activities are you doing once you get there? Where are you going to buy party boppers from!?
Luckily for you though we have plenty of experience when it comes to organizing the perfect hen party. So we’ve decided to compile all that knowledge and experience into some useful tips for you to read and refer to…
- Introduce yourself to the other hens
Doing this will not only make you look friendly and organized it’ll also give you the chance to speak to the other hens and see what ideas they have. So we recommend getting their emails and numbers, inviting them out for a girly drink so you can all get better acquainted (obviously the bride-to-be might have to be left out of this if you’re keeping the party a surprise from her!) Plus if you do this before the hen party, you’ll have all their numbers in case (heaven forbid) anything goes wrong.
- Decide on your destination and activity
If you did the previous tip then you should have a good idea of what everybody wants to do and where they want to do it. So you need to go away and formulate a plan; are you having a hen weekend at home or one abroad? Does everybody like wine tasting? Can the bride-to-be actually ride a horse?? These are all things that you need to consider beforehand. Just remember to take into account everyone’s budget and various likes and dislikes. That way everyone will be happy and enjoy themselves.
- Sort out transport for everyone
This is important (maybe just as important as what shoes you need to pack!) so get this sorted as soon as you can. After all you’re going to need to get from A to B, so why not hire a minibus (or even a limo!) to chauffeur everyone around during the weekend. But if you plan to take taxis, ensure that you get out enough cash beforehand and ask the other hens to do the same. That way everyone will be able to contribute (and you won’t have to faff about trying to find a cash point!)
- Accessorise your hen group
Accessories make the outfit (or so they say) so make sure the bride-to-be and hen troupe are the centre of attention during your night but – by decking everyone in hen party accessories! Now we know that traditional hen party accessories are a bit… shall we say tacky? However we all know the point of hen party accessories is to be funny and silly. In fact so what if your hen party sash doesn’t match your shoes? We say just let loose and go for it! After all when else can you justify wearing a pink, fluffy trimmed cowboy hat??
- Tell everyone what’s going on
Let everyone know what’s happening. Seems obvious but you’d be surprised how this small detail gets forgotten during all the planning and rushing around. This is particularly crucial if you’re planning to go away for the hen do. So tell everyone what’s happening and where you’re going, so they know what to pack and if they need to update their passports and do this before you finalise any bookings. That way you’ll be able to spot and overcome any troubles that arise before you pay for anything.
However if you’d rather outsource the planning to a professional hen party organiser like Hen Heaven (sorry we know that was a bit shameless!) then that’ll leave you free to get on with your life instead of running around trying to book everything yourself. To be honest though, regardless of what you choose to do (whether that’s plan everything yourself or get a professional company to plan it for you!) We’re sure that any hen party you plan will be a huge success (just remember to follow the tips above and have fun with it!)
